This is an Academic Excellence and Employability Society based on two of Liverpool’s university campuses; Liverpool John Moores and Liverpool University. Bridging Lives helps students with their academic needs and the provision of study skills training and expose students to employment opportunities and skills in these times of recession and rising graduate unemployment.

It will also run local and international projects in conjunction with sister society members in the other universities in Liverpool, UK and Europe and enable student members to obtain the required skills and opportunities to enhance their academic and professional development. The group would use its international network of societies and members to offer opportunities for students who desire to engage in international exchange and collaboration for voluntary and missionary activities with little or no cost. The society will therefore bring students into direct contact with employers, businesses, academics and organisations through seminars, workshops, fieldtrips and social activities. 

With Christian ethos, ‘Bridging Lives’ would undertake charitable development projects abroad in developing countries and allow members to have such lifetime experiences, which could both shape and build the future career of all members. It would seek to develop the Christian conviction of its members although membership is for everyone and not exclusively for Christian students.
